Here are links to websites to find ways to either grow or find sources for healthy food choices close to home. By skipping food that is processed, boxed, or prepackaged, the fat, sodium, and amount of preservatives or chemicals can be reduced in our meals. Many of our family members and patients are dealing with sodium, sugar, fat, and cholesterol restrictions in their diets. It is not about dieting it is about choosing better food sources and making better choices. We need to educate ourselves to teach our children and grandchildren how to make better choices to eat healthy to prevent obesity and poor health. It is especially difficult because I have many allergies and food allergies that make planning meals challenging.
